Darlien C. Breeze, Las Vegas resident for 15 years, is a California native. MINI TALES is her first collection of short stories, published in July 2005. Darlien is also the author of Import/Export and You, a text book for classes she taught at the Community College of Southern Nevada and Small Pony, the story of a Navajo boy who must decide between his world and the world of the white man. He resolves the issue by becoming a college trained Indian Agent. Darlien's background includes twenty years as a classroom teacher, ten years as a real estate agent, and seven years as the owner of an import/export company. |

Mini Tales: Short Mysteries for Busy People Many of the stories contained here were developed as the result of my life's experiences. A few are pure fantasy while others were created from the headlines of the daily newspaper. Some of my stories were developed rather quickly when I considered a plot or an outline of how a story should read and others took years to create just the right feel. Either way, I always get excited when I have a new story. I know that part of writing is knowing your audience. I envision my audience of readers to be about fun, intrigue and mystery. I hope that my readers have as much fun reading these stories as I had writing them. |

Ghosts & Gamblers of Las Vegas Ghosts & Gamblers is a two part book. The first part is a short story about a couple, frank and Emma who come to Vegas on vacation. Frank comes to gamble, Emma comes to connect with people who, like her, believe in ghosts. They agree to disagree on the subject since Frank is a devout non believer. They’re both surprised when Frank, with the help of a ghostly friend, wins enough to pay for their vacation and then some.
