As far back as I can remember, I've written stories. When just a child my stories were either in the form of pencil drawings on rolls of white shelf paper my parents furnished from their five & dime, or plots I acted out with my paper dolls made from the models in Sears catalogs. And I lived in comic books I'd borrow from the dime store. When I was 10 or 11, can't remember exactly when, I wrote a play, don't remember it . . . but you can bet it had to do with relationships and love - a foreshadowing of my life to come. I gathered the neighborhood kids and we performed that first little play written on a lined tablet in my dad's dirt-floor one-car garage. After spending most of my young to the beginning of my mid-life years in corporate America, marrying time and time again, and raising my children . . . I came to the realization that writing was where I began and writing was where I belonged. It was the passion of my soul and finally began to resurface again and an incredible 15 years followed. It is becoming more and more incredible as the months roll by - learning who and what I am and why I'm here. I write stage plays, some have been produced on community stage . . . I write screenplays, one optioned for a short time, none produced . . . I've written and published a novel with two more in the series being readied . . . I've written and published a book of short stories . . . one of my short stories is part of the Amazon Shorts program (titled - NEVER AGAIN) at Amazon.com. My articles have been published in magazines. Yes, my life is writing and I'm happiest when living and breathing my characters and the paths they take. All the places they've been, I've been, for travel is also my passion. AND . . . I'm founder, exec director of a national writers' conference - WIZARDS OF WORDS (www.wizardsofwords.org), a non-profit organization to assist writers in their careers. I hope you enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Happy reading!

Midnight at Trafalgar Square Rachel O'Neill is an American writer in England and is betrothed to Ethan Philips. She can't believe she's accepted Ethan's proposal, even though it's merely a business arrangement. She's afraid of commitment and intimacy, business arrangement or not, having been miserably through it all before. What's worse, she can't muster the guts to tell Ethan she doesn't want to go through with it because she doesn't want to hurt him. Then she complicates her life even more after kissing a complete stranger during London's massive celebration in Trafalgar Square at the stroke of Midnight on New Year's Eve. The events that unfold rapidly whisk Rachel into a world of mysterious adventure of synchronicity, self-realization, and tragedy, as well as romance and friendship with an eclectic ensemble that appears to have been traveling together for more than one lifetime. Will she find her purpose in life? Will she find true love? |

Love has a Price Tag Begins on a frightful night in SHOE'S ON THE OTHER FOOT, then prepare to blush and get warm all over when you read the sensual scenes in BATMAN‘S RIDDLER IN KANSAS CITY. You may relate to ANSWER THE PHONE, a breaking off with the old and starting anew, then we travel to Oklahoma in PLEASE COME BACK and feel the fear of a young woman in hiding, after which you'll experience that time we all dread when we're too old in TAKE ME, LORD, TAKE ME NOW. Next it's a teen-age girl in awe of a movie star in CARY GRANT & PINK CORDUROY , and you better have a handkerchief handy when you read OH YES, I REMEMBER – all about lost love and prejudices. You'll cheer for Amanda in AMANDA'S DREAM and Rachel O'Neill in PEACE IN THE VALLEY (pre-Midnight at Trafalgar Square). And LITTLE KATIE MCMULLEN is based on the life of Catherine Cookson, the British novelist, from age 13 as one of the poorest of the poor to her death at 91 when she was ranked 17 among the richest in the UK . OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE RAINBOW is about two people, opposites, and how they attempt to survive their differences, loosely based on the tumultuous, on again-off again, courtship of Jim and Rebecca Buckley. |
